10 weeks of bliss

Posted by teresadanielle at 4:36 PM
My little one was born 10 (11 on Sunday) weeks ago. Aside from the 13 hours I spent at Alltel prior to quitting, I haven't been away from him. My days now consist of feeding, diapering, cuddling, and making up songs to make him smile. I can't get over how big he's getting. He's awake most all of the time now and so I get to watch him giggle and laugh all day. I get little to nothing else done around the house most of the time, but I wouldn't have it any other way. We're going to see about Chasten's dedication this Sunday (see about scheduling it sometime in the near future) so we can hopefully have that done soon. I'm pretty positive that Chasten is teething, his hand never leaves his gums and he leaves behind pools of slobber everywhere that he is. I've always heard that time seems to speed up as you grow up, but I never thought it was true. Now that I'm a mommy and I WANT time to slow down...everything is going so quickly. You know what's funny, I'm all for women's rights and what not but I can't imagine why any mommy wouldn't want to stay home with her baby (ies). I suppose the point is more that women shouldn't be told they have no place but to stay at home...but I'm still going with being a mommy is the best and most rewarding job I've ever had. As booger gets older these entries will get to become more about his child-isms and what not...but for now you readers will have to simply put up with my ramblings (big and small). :)
